SBHI is a new company with the following goals:
1. Develop and implement projects for producing green renewable hydrogen using mainly Solar PV energy.
2. Helping companies develop hydrogen projects, apply for funding, and implement projects.
3. Help develop Workforce Training Programs, especially to help train technicians, entrepreneurs, and organization train people for the new hydrogen economy.
4. Help Cities develop educational programs for themselves and their citizens about how to handle hydrogen projects and activities in their jurisdictions.
5. Help develop programs for the development of coastal ecosystems for biodiversity and carbon absorption (blue carbon) and land and wetland ecosystems (green carbon).
6. Help develop programs for the transformation of agriculture, with less reliance on chemicals and water, with greater crop diversity and to absorb carbon (brown carbon).
7. Help with educational and other programs for Disaster Risk Reduction. The development of citizens training programs for emergency response to climate related natural disasters.
8. Help develop programs and activities to minimize wildfires or help better control them and limit their damage once they occur.

What the US Federal Government is doing (US Department of Energy - DOE)
Federal Government is funding this to about $ 9 billion out of the IRA (Inflation Reduction Act), out of which $1.2 billion will provided as the Federal Cost Share to California's Hub.
California's Hub is called ARCHES LLC - Alliance for Clean Renewable Hydrogen Energy Systems

SBHI will use its experience on many aspects of Hydrogen and is committed to advance the production, storage, transport and end use of the fuel.
Hydrogen is a "Storage Fuel" that can store and carry large commercial quantities of Renewable Energy
Solar energy is enough to meet all the world's energy use. But, at each location, since solar is only there for a few hours every day, it needs to be stored for later use. Hydrogen offers is the best method to store solar energy, and hydrogen gas can then be used as it is a portable, energy dense and non-carbon fuel. It can then be used through out the economy and can replace fossil fuels.

Short term commercial objective of SBHI
Use lower cost surplus solar energy in California together with smaller size water electrolyzers to produce and sell hydrogen at a currently competitive price to fuel cell users (cars, buses, trucks and ferry boats).
GREEN HYDROGEN
This is a portable, energy dense non-carbon fuel which we intend produce using Solar PV energy and make available to all hydrogen uses. The preliminary business plan is to supply green hydrogen to the automotive sector (cars, buses, trucks, etc.) at a competitive price. The company will initially concentrate on supplying green hydrogen to refueling stations in the San Francisco Bay area for light duty vehicles.
WHAT WE ARE ABOUT
SBHI will be cooperating and combining with like minded companies and organizations to use mainly solar and wind energy to produce totally Zero Emissions Green Hydrogen. The company will participate in the California Regional Hub (ARCHES) set up to represent the state to participate in the US Department of Energy's program to establish Green Energy Hubs around the country. The company will also cooperate with and apply for funding through the California Energy Commission's program to fund Hydrogen Refueling Stations and their supply and support organizations.
Opportunities are immense. The CAISO (California Independent Systems Operator) website showed that there was about 600,000 MWH of wind and solar curtailment in April 2022, and a low of 50,000 MWH in January 2022. They are trying to find uses for this excess energy so that it does not go to waste.
